Friday, November 28th, 2008Deo Juvante is a project borne from my desire to expand my research into European monarchies.
Since I started the research for Mandy’s British Royalty, I’ve naturally come across an abundance of information on the other monarchies of the world. The Grimaldis are not my only interest, but they are one of the most captivating.
The sunny, relaxed world of the Monegasque royals is a stark contrast to the Windsors, who are duty-bound and have a mountain of world history behind them. They are Monarchy with a capital “M”, whereas the Grimaldis are a “movie star monarchy” with enough glamour to rival any Hollywood premier party. They’ve certainly had their share of scandals, but the romance of the Mediterranean and the mystery of Princess Grace and her family keeps you coming back for more.
