Farewell To August Annotations?
I have been running my literary blog, August Annotations, since the end of 2001. Since then, I’ve pursued other avenues of writing as well as cartooning, blogging here at The Royal Rep, and podcasting.
My opinions and commentary began long ago and developed into the August Annotations that you know today. I introduced book reviews and a place for authors to advertise their books, and I have had the good fortune of having journalists and authors such as Jerramy Fine and the Washington Post‘s Michael Farquhar contribute to the blog. However, things have been very quiet for a long time. I’ve not had a lot of responses or visitors to “AA”. I’m now considering keeping all book reviews and commentary here at The Royal Rep. Of course, my offer to authors still stands and they are welcome to contribute work or their book excerpts for publicity purposes here at this blog.
In short, my wish is to consolidate all of my work (of which there seems to be legion!). Shall I close August Annotations, or leave it there as an archive and contribute when I can? Throw your opinion into the ring by voting in the poll at the right.
Thanks, everyone!
