This is the documentary snippet that shows the Queen “storming out” of the Annie Lebovitz shoot. It looks like a quick editing job – it is a commercial for the actual documentary I think. HM doesn’t sound entirely pleased, but neither would she freak out on camera. It’s just not her style. There was definitely some unfortunate editing going on.
Can you imagine the headline if the Queen REALLY got upset on camera?
THIS IS LONDON
(AP) – Queen Elizabeth II got fed up with her sitting with Annie Lebovitz, saying that she was sick of it all.
“Bloody hell,” exclaimed the monarch. “I simply cannot stand it any longer. I’m hot and tired and these robes weigh at least as much as my horse! I’m out!”
Her Majesty then ripped her robes from her person, whipped her tiara at the head of the nearest cameraman, and went crashing out the window.
Both rhododendron bush and Queen were unharmed.
Many happy congratulations to Peter Phillips upon his engagement. He is set to wed Autumn Kelly, native of Canada. Peter is the son of HRH Princess Anne and nephew of HRH The Prince of Wales.
Funny that I just mentioned Peter in this previous post as a candidate to represent monarchy in Canada. Now he’s marrying a Canadian. :) Wonderful news!
I have added a permanent link to Prince Andrew’s website under “Here’s More”. A very useful and informative addition to the link roster!
Don’t head for the beach without a good royal book! Remember to stop in and see what I recommend at my Amazon.com Reading List (these are the books that sit on my own bookshelf, mostly worn with fragile spines from repeated perusal!).
Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh have been married for 60 years this November. In celebration of the occasion, the Queen’s wedding gown and other items from the day are on public view in an exhibition.

Mr. Rafal Heydel-Mankoo, of the Monarchist League of Canada, debates with J.J. McCollough of Citizens for a Canadian Republic. Does Canada need the monarchy? Watch here, and then give your thoughts in the comments section here at this post.
Many Canadians I’ve spoken to DO relate to the Queen. They are very happy about their British ties. What I am wondering is if J.J. McCullough and others like him are more interested in simply having a Canadian-born or in residence head of state, rather than the massive upheaval of changing government structure.
For example, say Prince Harry (or even Peter Phillips or the Earl of Ulster), is given a post in Canada like John Campbell, 9th Duke of Argyll. The Duke was Governor General of Canada for several years. He was married to Queen Victoria’s daughter Princess Louise, bringing the British monarchy and aristocracy directly into everyday Canadian life.
