Baby Updates - Countess of Wessex Due Friday

Sophie, Countess of Wessex, had been due to give birth on Christmas Day but will now have her baby delivered by a scheduled caesarean section this Friday.

This is the second child for Sophie and her husband, HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex. Their first child, Lady Louise, is four years old.

No chances are being taken this time around after what happened with Louise’s dramatic entrance into the world. Sophie had to be rushed to the hospital for an emergency “C section” after having severe pain and a considerable loss of blood. Louise was four weeks premature, and mother and daughter had to remain in hospital for some time before they were allowed to go home.

In other baby news, I am happy to report that Albert Louis Philip Edward Windsor is doing well. Little Albert, born September 22, made his first public debut recently while out with his mother, Lady Paola Windsor (nee Countess de Frankopan). Albert’s father is Lord Nicholas Windsor.
