I’ve been awarded two lovely honors: one from Cinderella of World of Royalty, who has bestowed the Great Buddy award, and Viola of Royal Rendezvous , who has presented me with the Excessively Diverting Blog Award.
The national memorial to the Queen Mother was unveiled by The Queen on February 23rd in the presence of three generations of the Royal Family.
The statue depicts the Queen’s mother at age 51, dressed in Garter robes and hat. Fifty-one was the Queen Mother’s age around the time of her husband King George VI’s death.
Crown Princess Victoria Ingrid Alice Désirée, 31, is set to marry Mr. Daniel Westling, 35.
Mr. Westling is a personal trainer and gym owner. After their marriage, he will be known as the Duke of Västergötland. The wedding is planned for next year.
Princess Victoria is the eldest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and German-born Queen Silvia. She is the world’s only female heir apparent to a current monarch.
The Crown Princess will be Sweden’s first female Head of State from the Bernadotte Dynasty. In modern times Sweden has only had two queens regnant, Kristina and Ulrika Eleonora.
Congratulations to both Victoria and Daniel. Victoria is glowing throughout the video. It’s so sweet.
Isn’t it funny to see a press conference called to introduce a male fiance? That never happens! But it is indeed a wonderful event.
Swedish media report the Palace and Government will announce the engagement of Crown Princess Victoria to Daniel Westling Tuesday afternoon. According to Svenska Dagbladet the announcement will be at 2 PM Swedish time.
I’ve been thinking about color-coordinating the blog with the website. So, over the next few months, I will be changing the colors and converting otherwise useless categories into tags. The tag conversion will make things more streamlined and organized. Only the essential categories will remain, along with a tag cloud for you to find specific items.
I’m hoping to have the little makeover done in time for MBR’s 11th birthday.
Eleven years… good grief, where does the time go!?
