I offer my prayers to those in Appeldoorn today who were injured, and to the families of those who died.

This senseless destruction of human life is such a tragedy. Even “tragedy” doesn’t cover it. It’s something that can’t even be expressed by words.

The children of the crowds were so happy and excited to see the Dutch royal family pass by, and the weather was incredibly beautiful. People were just hanging out enjoying themselves, and then this happened.

Sad, sad day.

Oxbridge: Pride of Britain black tea is my new favorite (the package is very patriotic as well)!

I now have a Google profile. Shockingly, I’ve affixed a “98″ at the end of my user name.

Why shocking, you ask? Well, with the plethora of things I’m involved with online, I typically use the moniker “MandysRoyalty”. However, when I tried it out at Google Profiles, they wouldn’t accept it even though it was available!

Hence, I am MandysRoyalty98 at Google Profiles. The “98″ signifies the year I started “Mandy’s British Royalty”.

This is just a small notice to let you know that yes, it’s me! It is not a fake MandysRoyalty, it’s the real deal. :-)

They love Presidents and pandering,
and they’ll protest on your lawn.

We say no to a Republic,
so why do they keep on?

Going to the polls is relatively easy.
I’m aware of what I’m voting,
there is no feeling queasy.

You pull the lever, mark your vote,
Yet still the Queen is a scapegoat.

It is not she who is unfair,
Blame Gordon Brown, Parliament,
or bloody Tony Blair.

So the next time they come knocking,
you’ll know just what to do.
Tell them that you voted,
and that the Queen inspired you.
