Susan Flanders, creator of “Writer of Queens”, is the guest commentator for the month of May. Her story focuses on Princess Beatrice, youngest child of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

Baby is about the life and times of the Princess, who grew up in a sad, quiet court, while on the outside the world was opening up to the might of the British Empire.

A Call for Royal Writers

Now that the raffle is over, August Annotations needs a jumpstart.

We ended in March with a fabulous commentary by Harold Schmautz on the Portugese Royal Pretender, Dom Duarte Pio. Now, I put out a call for royal writers for the month of May. If that is too soon, then we can move it to the month of June.
