I updated the ceremonies page a few weeks ago, but I don’t think I posted the update here. Recently added is the list of major royal weddings throughout the generations, along with details of the coronation and music used in the ceremony.
This is a great YouTube video about the coronation - details and footage from the day ( Long to Reign Over Us)
Continue to ceremonies
We are leaving for our English honeymoon immediately after the wedding. I still can’t believe it! I am so excited.
As a British royal historian, it’s nice that I actually get to visit the UK after ten years in the business. Being able to physically encounter the sights and sounds of the country will make my studies and presentations to my audience far richer. I hope what I experience makes the site and the blog even better than before. Of course, all photos will be posted here for your enjoyment… or just for your curiosity.
As wedding preparations continue (and as work picks up) I will not be able to post here as much. I will be happy to give a few updates once in a while though, especially if there is something in royal news that makes me want to rant, debate, discuss, or all of the above.
Yes, it’s true! Mandy’s British Royalty now offers online courses in Royal history. Your participation helps to forge an amazing new experience for people everywhere.
Since the site is in its formative stages, I am only accepting offers from people interested in teaching courses at this time. This is purely voluntary. If you are interested in teaching a course, please contact me through my website - http://www.mandysroyalty.org/Contact.html
Well everyone, the website is finally done. “Mandy’s British Royalty” has had it’s best makeover yet! I hope you really enjoy the new look. I think it’s stronger, clearer, and more interesting than before. Some little things have not yet been completed, but that is only temporary!
I have another big project which everyone interested in royals can collaborate on, so I may launch that before fixing the minutiae of MBR.
Podcasting, remodeling the site, book reviews, and planning a trip to England….. It’s a busy summer!!
Enjoy! And please remember to update your bookmarks, as Intro.html no longer exists (if you had it bookmarked).
I lost a lot of things in the move between servers. Not in the “amount of” sense, but things that were crucial to the enjoyment and fluidity of the website. One of those things was the Royal Artists page.
Happily, I still have a few things saved on my old computer that people have sent me. As you know, I am reconstructing the design of Mandy’s British Royalty and will be reinstating the artists’ page along with it.
If you have submitted work before and wish to do so again, please email me. If you are submitting work for the first time, then please email me any work you have to display in my online gallery.
All art must have a royal theme, and can be done in any medium, even Photoshop. Send me:
UPDATES
Thank you to all who allow me my moments of redesign insanity. Being a graphic designer, I simply love to design, tweak, and organize! So here is the blog’s new face, and soon Mandy’s British Royalty will have a new face as well!
It’s Extreme Royal Makeover Month!!
Look for the new MBR in the coming weeks…. stay tuned!
It’s that time again! The review for the April issue of Majesty magazine is out. I also discuss an idea I have in which I would combine August Annotations with RoyaltyNow!, so they form an interactive book club. Watch the video and let me know what you think.
A few posts ago, I mentioned that there may be some blog design going on in the next few weeks. I’m feeling creative, so I hope you all won’t mind a few changes. This will not affect the blogging in any way, however!
I just feel the need to update the blog’s look to usher in my new concept of royal cartoons (a new concept for me, that is).
Sorry friends, I have had to turn off commenting for a little while. The Akismet spam catcher is missing spam comments lately, and even though the messagesĀ are caught in the queue for moderation, it is annoying.
I will let you know when I turn them back on, but for now contact me via email for comments and I will eveutally post them. :D Thank you!
