Why won’t Fergie go away? What can we do? Well, it looks like The Simpsons have the answer.

Man: Well sir, advertising is a funny thing. If people stop paying attention to it, pretty soon, it goes away.

Lisa: Like that old woman who couldn’t find the beef?

Man: Exactly. If you stop paying attention to the monsters, they’ll lose their powers.

Lisa: But people can’t help looking at them. They’re wrecking the town. [out the window, the monsters wreck the town]

…

Outside, a crowd of people watch the monsters. … Lisa addresses them with a megaphone.

Lisa: Hey, Springfield! Are you suffering from the heartbreak of…Monster-itis? Then take a tip from Mr. Paul Anka!

[Paul waves, begins playing a small synthesizer and singing]

To stop those monsters, one-two-three,
Here’s a fresh new way that’s trouble-free.
It’s got Paul Anka’s guarantee…[winks]

Lisa: [singing] Guarantee void in Tennessee.

Together: [singing] Just don’t look. Just don’t look.
[people turn away; the monsters turn to look]

[more people turn away]

[the monsters try to destroy things faster, but start collapsing]

1.) The Duchess’ lustrous hair is a joy to look at, but it needs to be tamed – at least on the tarmac. We ladies can attest to the fact that wind is not a friend to our hair. Once it dies down, we are left looking like tumble weeds.

2.) Hems down, this is the most embarrassing! Again, the wind clearly is not on her side. Duchess C isn’t the only royal lady that has been caught like this, however. Princess Letizia of Spain and countless others have been subjected to the Marilyn Monroe affect. My advice is that the modern princess needs to take a page from the book of Queen Elizabeth II: sew little lead weights into the hem of your dress. Voila! Instant face-saver.

THIS is much better. Her hair is back, and the dress material looks a little thicker. Much less chance of a fly-away here. Nice!

I have just received one of the cutest photos I have ever seen (Click to enlarge the photo).

Demos and Kitty took the roles of Prince William and Kate Middleton as part of the royal engagement celebrations at The Kingsley School.

The school hopes that the fantastic card will stand out from the others as the junior school pupils made the card themselves, as well as including this photograph of the young lookalikes of Prince William and Kate Middleton from the school.

In the latest edition of Esquire magazine, Welsh soprano Charlotte Church (she of “Voice of an Angel” fame) fumed that the Queen “has no idea what’s going on”.

Claiming that Her Majesty forgot who she was, Church decided to let loose and insult the aged in general: “When you get close to her you realize she’s an old woman and has no idea what’s going on.”

After being called out on her remarks, Church apologized but did pass the buck: “I am deeply sorry if my comments about Her Majesty the Queen caused offense,” she said.

“I find it difficult to remember even making them. My only defense is that I never expected a respected publication to sensationalize my words out of context like this,” she said.
