Princess Beatrice Hires Emma Watson’s Stylist At Rate Of $2,400 A Day
Far be it for me to criticize someone attempting to look classy.
Princess Beatrice of York took a lot of flack for her horrid hat (of royal wedding day fame). Needless to say, she’s toned it down a bit since then. Apparently the torrent of criticism over her chapeau faux pas has caused Bea to distrust her own fashion instincts, so she hired a stylist.
Of course, it is not just any stylist. Yes, rather than check out the cute style combos on a site like Polyvore for herself, Bea has hired celebrity stylist Charlie Anderson to put her together. Anderson is the former fashion director for Tatler UK and is said to charge $2,400 per diem for his services.
Royals are supposed to look nice, but $2,400 per day is a little extreme, especially when Beatrice is not planning on making royal duties a priority any time soon. So really, all the she needs to do is have a basic knowledge of color theory and perhaps an assistant to give her a once-over before she leaves the house (and I still strictly maintain that Polyvore is a girl’s best friend).
Relax Bea. We like you for you, don’t feel the need to go over-the-top. Just don’t wear hats that could scare an ox.

Prince Harry is putting his best foot forward on his tour in honor of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Harry is currently on a tour of Belize (March 2nd & 3rd), the Bahamas (March 3rd – 5th), and Jamaica (March 5th – 8th) on behalf of The Queen as part of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The ever-popular prince will also be paying a visit to Brazil in support of the UK Government and his own charities from March 9th – 11th.
The solo Diamond Jubilee tour representing the Queen is a first for Harry, who is usually out and about with his brother William or his father, the Prince of Wales.

HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall will be begin their tour of Scandinavian countries in late March, and their first stop will be Norway. The tour marks the start of Their Royal Highnesses’ official overseas celebrations of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
King Harald and Queen Sonja will host the couple during their stay in Norway. Charles and Camilla will perform official duties which include visiting Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, attending a banquet at the Royal Palace in Oslo, and visiting the Nobel Peace Center to meet the survivors from the 2011 Utøya island massacre.
This tour will also be a time to visit with family – Charles’ great-grandfather was the brother of Harald’s grandmother (King George V was the brother of Princess Maud of Wales, who later became Queen of Norway).
After Norway, the British royals will visit Sweden. It is highly likely that the couple will get a chance to meet the new heir to the Swedish throne – Crown Princess Victoria is due to give birth in the early days of March. Though the prince has met King Carl XVI Gustaf, this will be Charles’ first official visit to Sweden.
The Windsors are also connected to the Bernadottes of Sweden through Gustaf VI Adolf, who was married first to Princess Margaret of Connaught (a granddaughter of Queen Victoria) and then to Princess Louise of Battenberg (the sister of Lord Louis Mountbatten).
The next stop will be Denmark to pay a visit to Queen Margrethe II, another family member. Like Elizabeth II, Queen Margrethe is celebrating a Jubilee this year – 2012 marks her 40th year on the Danish throne. She is related to the British royal family through her grandmother, Princess Margaret of Connaught. Charles was previously in Denmark in 2009, and his son William, along with wife Catherine, visited Copenhagen and met with Crown Prince Frederik to view UNICEF relief operations in November 2011.
The tour will take place from March 20th to 27th.

As of this month, Sir Peter Westmacott is Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the United States of America. Sir Peter replaces Nigel Sheinwald, Ambassador since October 2007. [Read Sheinwald's departing words]
Westmacott was born in the village of Edington, Somerset in the South West of England in December 1950. He was educated at New College Oxford. He joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1972, and has extensive experience abroad with postings in Tehran, Brussels, Ankara, and Paris.
The new ambassador also has royal connections: in 1990, he was made Deputy Private Secretary to the Prince of Wales. Three years later, Westmacott was sent to Washington as a Counsellor. Later postings included Director for the Americas in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and Deputy Under Secretary of State.
In 2002, Westmacott was appointed Ambassador to Turkey, where he served until 2006. The following year he was appointed as the Ambassador to France where he served until this month.
