Prince Joachim of Denmark and his wife, Princess Marie, have christened their new son Henrik.

Joachim’s father is also named Prince Henrik. The former Henri de Laborde de Monpezat, a French-born count, married Queen Margrethe II of Denmark in 1967. Princess Marie also hails from France.

The baby’s full name, Henrik Carl Joachim Alain, is in honor of the men of his family: Prince Henrik; Carl (Marie’s brother Charles); Prince Joachim; and Alain, Marie’s father.

Many congratulations to the Danish royals and many best wishes for one of the cutest royal babies in Europe!

Princess Martha-Louise of Norway, seen below in 2001.

Norwegian Princess Martha-Louise and her husband, Ari Behn, have had their third daughter baptized in Oslo.

Emma Tallulah Behn was baptized at the Royal Palace in the presence of her parents;  godmothers Alexia of Greece and CP Mette-Marit, and over 200 other guests.

Emma’s older sisters, five-year-old Maud Angelica and three-year-old Leah Isadora, were also at the ceremony.

It was nice to see pictures of the girls smiling. Especially Maud, who, for some reason or another, never seemed to smile in any photo. They are actually quite adorable!

Also noted is that Ari Behn, who – if he was sans beard -  resembles CP Frederik of Denmark!

Princess Alexia of Greece had her youngest child, Amelia, baptized on the island of Lanzarote. The ceremony was witnessed by dozens of family members.

Guests included Amelia’s maternal grandparents, the former King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece and other royals.

Princess Alexia and her husband, architect Carlos Morales Quintana, married in London in July 1999. They live on Lanzarote in a house Quintana designed specifically for his family.
