Mandy
I update the blog with the latest version of WordPress, and all hell breaks loose. That’s not supposed to happen!
Please pardon the weirdness that happened with the Royal Representative (AND August Annotations). I’m not quite sure what happened after I updated, but when I visited the blog to make sure all was well, it gave me an error page from Flickr!
I apologize for the inconvenience. Thankfully everything is back to normal. Never a dull moment….
If you visit Mandy’s British Royalty and find a “Forbidden: no access to this server” message, don’t panic! My web server is undergoing a massive migration, so there will be some downtime.
When it is back online, this blog will be integrated with the website itself. This work may take a little time, so you don’t have to change your bookmarks just yet!
More news later…
Mandy’s British Royalty has apparently had a server upgrade. During that time, it seems everything that I did on the site in the last month or so has disappeared. Things are still basically the same, which is great; but my newer updates, like the new title, the new August Annotations ad, and the re-direct link to the Royal Representative have gone. I will remake them as soon as I can.
I would really, really love to have an email address that reflects my domain name, i.e. me (at) mandysroyalty.org for example. But for some reason, things just are not working out. I am going to keep working on the problem, so keep using the yahoo.com address until further notice.
Cpanel (my webserver) is strange. Going through the “Manage Accounts” link to get to my email is not, in fact, the same email box as the “Check webmail” link. I go to one inbox to send an email, and it tells me I can’t – the account is full and I need to empty some folders. The thing is, there’s nothing in those folders. So what’s going on? So I go to the “Webmail” link, and there are 851 messages telling me that all of my email has been bounced back because my account is full.
Sometimes email comes into one inbox but not the other, so I have to keep checking both all the time. Although why I have to do this, I do not know.
Groan!!
But never fear, I WILL figure this out.
There is something severely wrong with the statistics counter “Sitemeter”. Apparently their server is down and no one can get any information from the people who run it. Sitemeter is just gone.
However, some may look on this as a good thing, since Sitemeter has allegedly been using spyware. I’m now trying StatCounter instead, sort of like a trial run! They seem very good thus far.
