A Jubilee Birthday For Mandy!
Get your diaries ready! These reviews are coming soon to RoyaltyNow!:
and then:
After these reviews, I have some special royal books to share! Stay tuned.
I’ve rediscovered some of my royal collection. My favorite item is the signed stamp cover from Countess Mountbatten, eldest daughter of the late Viceroy, Lord Louis.
Hooray! It’s here! The latest addition to my royal library is entitled “King, Kaiser, Tsar: Three Royal Cousins Who Led the World to War”. I can’t wait to dive right into this and then bring you a review. It looks like it’s going to be fascinating.
The subjects of the book:
King George V: The son of King Edward VII, who was the brother of the Prussian Empress Friedrich. George’s mother, Queen Alexandra, was born a Danish princess and was the sister of the Empress of Russia.
Kaiser Wilhelm II: Son of Empress Friedrich of Prussia (Princess Victoria of Great Britain), and grandson of Queen Victoria.
Tsar Nicholas II: Son of Tsar Alexander and Tsarina Maria Feodorovna, formerly Princess Dagmar of Denmark and sister of Britain’s Queen Alexandra.
I am still uploading pictures, but this is a start. Enjoy!

Here are a couple of new items added to my collection. The tin of HM and Prince Philip was given to me as a birthday present. It is a souvenir item from Canada, when the royal couple visited to open the St. Lawrence Seaway.

You’ll note that this tin matches my cup and saucer set, seen in my Royal Collection video.
Here is the back of the tin, which shows a map of the area (I apologize for the blurry quality!):

Here is the cup and saucer:

Another item I purchased (not shown) is a book about England, entitled “A History of England and the British Empire”. It’s original publication date is 1937, but the copy I have is 1953. It is written by Walter Phelps Hall and Robert Greenhalgh Albion.
It looked like an excellent book for summer reading. I want to begin my formal history studies in the fall or perhaps next spring, so I am going to be studying as much as I can. This book looked like a perfect start to refresh my memory!
